Nora Frenkiel first coined the term “glass ceiling” in 1984, and today, 34 years later, progress has been made, but the ascent has been slow.
In 1995, there were no women serving as CEOs of Fortune 500 companies. Currently, females are the chief executives of just under 5% of the 500 most lucrative corporations in the United States. Who has broken through the “glass ceiling” and how did they accomplish this feat? How is Silicon Prairie impacting these numbers?
